Les Matriarches - Conference at the Salon de la photo
For ten years, photojournalist Nadia Ferroukhi went to meet women who structure the economic and social life of their community, while ensuring the transmission of lineage, name, heritage and culture. From this striking experience, she has published a superb book entitled Les Matriarches, ed. Albin Michel. Through the account of her explorations in the four corners of the world, from Mexico to China via the Comoros, she tells us how to capture in images the matriarchy at work in ten of the last societies of women.
